It has been tanned 2 times at the famous Chanin Leather tannery. This latigo leather is Veg tanned and chrome tanned which gives it the best qualities of both. This double process tanning method gives the leather tensile strength and water resistance while maintaining the look and feel of vegetable tanned leather. After the tanning process is complete, the leather is placed in a stuffing drum with tallows and waxes then drum dyed for uniform coloring. This leather is strong and is able to withstand the elements yet flexible and supple. After the chrome and vegetable tanning is complete, our latigo is hot stuffed with oils and tallows in drums. This makes the leather more weather resistant. Products made with latigo are able to withstand repeated contact with water and drying without drying out." ​This is full grain brown latigo leather handcut to 1 1/4 inch wide . It has a stainless steel buckle that is attached with chicago screws so the buckle can be changed if desired. The edges were burnished and has a low shine to it. To order, the best way to order a belt is to measure it as shown in the picture but if you don’t have an opportunity to do that I can work with a pants waist size. These measurements will be different your belt measurement is usually 2 or 3 inches larger than a waist size so just let me know what you are sending. I will make any size you need here in my shop in Maryland. I will put 5 holes in it unless you request 7 holes. Made in USA.
